Thomson takes the Jungle Crown!
Sam Thomson's Jungle journey came to a jubilant end as he was crowned King of the Jungle, beating former boxer Tony Bellew and politician Nigel Farage to the coveted thrown.
From the get-go, Sam got stuck into challenges with the enthusiasm of a kookaburra at dawn, and tackled those trials with the agility of a wallaby!
It wasn't always easy; there were times when he looked as lost as a dingo in a dust storm, but his determination never wavered.
Sam told Ant & Dec he was 'really overwhelmed' by his win, adding 'I didn't think I was even going to be invited onto this show, let alone be sat here' as the victor.
'I am so grateful, thank you so much,' continued the camp champ. 'I’ve dreamt of doing this show for years and years and you made this boy’s dream come true.'
What set Sam apart was his upbeat energy, positive attitude and ability to keep spirits high. Whether he was cracking jokes at the campfire or offering a shoulder to lean on, many felt he was the glue that held the group together.
Sam - you are one worthy winner, and we take our hats off to you!
