Charities
15th March 2012

Ant & Dec joined HRH The Prince of Wales at London’s Leicester Square Odeon yesterday to host a tribute to young people who have turned their lives around with the help of The Prince’s Trust.

The Prince’s Trust & L’Oréal Paris Celebrate Success Awards honour young people who have overcome significant challenges from drug addiction and depression to long-term unemployment and homelessness.

As well the charity’s founder and president HRH The Prince of Wales, actress Joanna Lumley OBE, BAFTA-winning actors Tom Hardy and Adam Deacon, BRIT award-winner Emeli Sandé, actress Keeley Hawes, presenter Gok Wan, comedian Justin Lee Collins and singer Emma Bunton also showed their support alongside a 1,500 strong audience.

The Prince of Wales’s charity has helped more than 650,000 young people since 1976 and supports 100 more each day. Last year, more than three in four young people on Prince’s Trust schemes moved into work, training or education, but the charity needs to raise a million pounds a week to continue its vital work.
