Ant & Dec are putting the fun into fundraising with Text Santa!
Ant & Dec are getting into the spirit of giving early this Christmas by hosting the Text Santa appeal on ITV1, Friday December 21st. The boys will be joined by some of the biggest stars in TV, including Christine Bleakley, Holly Willoughby, Paddy McGuinness and Phillip Schofield to raise millions for charity.
Each celebrity pairing will host a segment of the night, with the evening entertainment extravaganza following a day of Text Santa programming on ITV1. There will be surprises aplenty alongside live studio entertainment and star guests, plus special mini-episodes of some of the channel’s leading shows, including a festive Coronation Street!
The Text Santa appeal works on behalf of specially chosen charities offering life-changing services to vulnerable people throughout the UK. This year’s charities are Age UK, Anthony Nolan, Carers UK, Marie Curie Cancer Care, Together for Short Lives and Whizz-Kidz.
The boys said: “We’re delighted to be returning to host Text Santa again, last year we raised an amazing amount of money and awareness for six truly worthy causes. This year we want to make it even bigger and better and you can get involved too by simply ordering a fundraising pack and putting the fun into fundraising!”
The show encourages viewers to donate throughout the night as part of the Text Santa appeal. People can also get involved in fundraising beforehand in the run up to the show, with adults and kids fundraising packs available for download now from www.itv.com/textsanta.
Alternatively, you can donate money through Text Santa’s commercial partners, by using the JustTextGiving service on Vodafone or donating over the counter in any Santander bank. Text Santa’s broadcast sponsor ASDA will also be selling festive Text Santa hats nationwide with a percentage of the sale going to the appeal.
