A Propa Happy day!

26th May 2022

Propa Happy is Ant & Dec's debut children’s book, raising vital funds for the NSPCC.

And to celebrate its arrival on all good bookshop shelves, Ant & Dec unwrapped a giant parcel of over 10,000 messages from children, families, schools and workplaces across the UK.

The pair’s Pass the Positivity campaign invited the nation to share what makes them feel happy and positive in the form of drawings, poems and artwork, and the parcel was unveiled at a virtual schools event livestreamed from Hillcross Primary School in South Morden.

Published by Farshore and created in consultation with a child psychology expert and with guidance from the NSPCC, Propa Happy is a fun-filled guide to feeling good, with jokes, games, and advice to help children nurture their emotional well-being every day with illustrations by Katie Abey.

Ant said, “We loved hearing from kids and adults across the UK about what powers their positivity and makes them smile. The NSPCC does vital work to protect children across the UK and as NSPCC Ambassadors for Childhood, we want to encourage as many people as possible to do their bit for children and support Childhood Day.

"Whether you fundraise, donate or volunteer, there are lots of ways you can play your part and every copy of Propa Happy will raise money for the NSPCC.”

“We are delighted to be playing our part for the NSPCC’s Childhood Day by raising vital funds through the sale of our book, Propa Happy,” Dec said.

“We hope that through the launch of this new children’s book and the Pass the Positivity campaign, we can not only bring people together for a feel-good activity that promotes emotional wellbeing, but we can also encourage people to unite for Childhood Day on 10th June.

“Our Playtime Power activity from the book is a great way to take a big and important break this Childhood Day and have lots of fun.”

On Childhood Day, the NSPCC’s flagship day of fundraising on 10th June, children and adults are encouraged to sign up for the Big Breaktime – an extra hour of play, at a time of day that best suits them that will raise vital money to help keep children safe.
