Ant & Dec are set to release their debut children’s book on 26th May 2022, to raise vital funds for leading children’s charity the NSPCC.

Published by Farshore and illustrated by Katie Abey, Propa Happy is a fun-filled guide to feeling good for children aged 7+, packed with games, jokes, anecdotes, challenges and quizzes to make kids smile.

Created in consultation with child psychology experts and with guidance from the NSPCC, the book includes mental health advice and activities so that children can nurture their emotional well-being everyday.

Ant & Dec are NSPCC Ambassadors for Childhood, and are releasing the book ahead of the charity’s Childhood Day on 10th June 2022.

The fundraising day encourages kids and grown-ups across the UK to come together to fundraise so that the NSPCC and Childline can be here for children.

“Every child deserves a happy childhood – and the NSPCC rely on fundraising to ensure they can continue to be here for children and families,” Ant said.

“As NSPCC Ambassadors for Childhood, we wanted to show our support for this fantastic charity and their vital work.”

Dec added: “Childhood Day next year is going to be even better and we’re thrilled that through the launch of Propa Happy we can encourage children and grown-ups across the UK to come together to fundraise on June the 10th and do their bit for children.”

Since April last year, Childline has carried out 73,088 counselling sessions about mental or emotional health, which has remained the top reason children have got in touch during the pandemic. All of Ant and Dec’s author proceeds from the book will be donated to the NSPCC to support their lifechanging work protecting children.
