The boys are record breakers after Text Santa 2014 became the most successful ever!

Ant and Dec led the fourth annual appeal as they presented the fundraising celebrations in an all-glittering live show on ITV.

From Phillip Schofield’s 24 hours round-the-clock presenting to George Clooney’s Downton Abbey guest appearance, Text Santa 2014 raised over £6.2million – a whopping 20% more than 2013.

Ant & Dec said; ‘Text Santa is such a great appeal and this year the British public have surpassed previous efforts with this amazing total.

‘We love being involved with Text Santa, and this year we are delighted that each of the UK charities will receive over £1 million."

The six charities supported by Text Santa 2014 are Teenage Cancer Trust, Guide Dogs, WellChild, Marie Curie Cancer Care, Alzheimer’s Society and Together for Short Lives.

The first instalment has been paid to the charities, with the rest due by April. Already, viewers’ donations are changing people’s lives.

Since its launch in 2011, Text Santa has now raised more than £21 million, with 100% of all donations going directly to UK charities and all operational costs of the appeal covered directly by ITV.
