Celebrity contestants revealed!
Well, as you'll know from reading officialantanddec.com, the lads are already Down Under, gearing up for the next series of I'm A Celebrity... and we're pretty excited about who's heading in to the jungle this year!
The week has kicked off with a bang as the celebrity contestants have at long last been revealed, and it's the usual mixed bunch of old meets young and weird meets wonderful! The more mature members of the camp are broadcasting veteran Esther Rantzen, ontroversial chat show host Robert Kilroy-Silk, tennis pro Martina Navratilova and Star Trek legend George Takei. Meanwhile, this year's eye candy will come courtesy of WAG Carly Zucker, glamour model Nicola McClean and Blue singer Simon Webbe. Joining them will be EastEnders actor Joe Swash and ex Deputy Assistant Commissioner for the Metropolitan Police Brian Paddick!
Look out people, there's going to be fireworks! The stars have already begun to shrug off the scary prospect of the Bushtucker Trials, with Star Trek hero George Takei boasting he's got no issue boldly going where no...well okay, lots of celebrities have gone before; "I'm Japanese and love sushi. I've even eaten live fish. It was delicious." George may be in for a bit of a shock when confronted with the prospect of munching on the nether regions of various members of the marsupial family, but who knows - this is a man who's traversed the galaxy and battled with klingons, so perhaps he's confronted worse things... I'm a Celebrity starts Sunday night, 9pm only on ITV1.
